It's been about 4 years since I wrote a book—that was Cops vs. Aliens! which I finished January of 2021. Since then I've been doing photography as a hobby and relaxing myself from words. I was planning on that being my last book but for a few years the idea of doing a novel based on Richard Ramirez has been spinning around my head
Over the last few days I made the decision to write it—because I can and because I want to. It took me a while to decide that these both were true. I have been collecting research materials since then. I'll plan to research in May and write in June July August
I'm going easy on myself mentally—this project scares me a little just because it is a writing project and I haven't done one in a while. So I'm allowing myself the option to abort course at any point and I'm just doing a little bit every day (as is my usual) and stopping after that to smoke weed and watch TV with my wife and play with my dog, etc. The world has too much stress in it to add more voluntarily
As to why I want to write a novel about Richard Ramirez or for other details about the book—just wait to read it. I'm planning the syntax, brainstorming ideas for the title, and outlining the chapters now—check it out
